Dominik Mysterio gets away with another cheap shot on Cody Rhodes

Dominik Mysterio is possibly the most disliked person on WWE television right now. The 26-year-old star has gotten away with his heel antics for the most part. Dominik appears to be able to get away with cursing on live air, as he nonchalantly dropped an F-bomb this week.

WWE utilized Monday night’s “go-home” episode of Raw to build up Saturday’s Money in the Bank pay-per-view event. This included the addition of a new intercontinental championship match for Money in the Bank, with Matt Riddle challenging Gunther, as well as the development of the rivalry between Dominik Mysterio and Cody Rhodes.

Dominik Mysterio refuses to fight with Cody Rhodes

Rhodes tried and failed to provoke Mysterio into a physical confrontation at the start of the programme, only to be hit by another Mysterio cheap shot after the main event. While Rhodes is the better wrestler, Mysterio has won practically every match leading up to Money in the Bank.

Dominik Mysterio denied to fight Cody Rhodes to begin the show. After Rhodes interrupted Mysterio and Rhea Ripley, Mysterio went out of the ring with Ripley between him and Rhodes. The Judgement Day combo ultimately walked away, prompting Rhodes to ask Mysterio to jump in the ring and offer him a “free shot,” but Mysterio declined, stating he’d see Rhodes at Money in the Bank.

After the match, he crept up behind the American Nightmare and administered another cheap shot. Dominik and Rhea stared a hole through Cody as the concert finished. This was one of many occasions that Dom got away with a cheap shot on Cody. This Saturday, the two stars will encounter at Money in the Bank. It remains to be seen whether Dominik can defeat the man who was once truly harmed by Rey Mysterio.

Money in the Bank will happen at the O2 Arena in London on July 1, 2023. Ricochet got defeated by Shinsuke Nakamura with a shooting star press through pinfall. Finn Balor got attacked by Seth Rollins as Rollins cut a promo about their match on Saturday at Money in the Bank.
