‘Nagin dance hoga aaj to’ – Fans react as Bangladesh beats Afghanistan by 6 wickets in ODI World Cup 2023

It was a magnificent start for the Bangladesh cricket team as they registered a great win against Afghanistan by six wickets during the third game of the ODI World Cup 2023 on October 7. Speaking about the match here, it was Bangladesh skipper Shakib-Al-Hasan who won the toss and invited the Afghanistan side to bat first at the Himachal Pradesh Cricket Association Stadium.

After being put to bat first, the side had a terrific start as wicketkeeper-batter Rahmanullah Gurbaz and star opener Ibrahim Zardan piled up 47 and 22 runs, respectively. Following that, Rahmat Shah and skipper Shahidi pile up 18 runs each throughout the play. Following their dismissal, the Afghanistan team could not maintain the solid momentum and were all dismissed for just 156 runs.

Star all-rounders Shakib-Al-Hasan and Mehidy Hasan had scalped three wickets each, whereas Shoriful Islam picked up two wickets during the play to restrict them to a narrow score. However, the Bangladesh side had a poor start as their openers, Tanzid Hasan and Liton Das, were dismissed for just 5 and 13 runs, respectively.
