Former Real Madrid and Chelsea winger Eden Hazard announces his retirement from football at age of 32

The great footballer Eden Hazard has announced his retirement from football on October 10. Notably, this shocking news came to light after his exit from Real Madrid. The 32-year-old great put up impressive displays for Chelsea but later moved to Real Madrid in 2019. In addition, the legend moved to Chelsea from Lille in 2011. Since then, he has won numerous awards, including two Premier League tournaments, an FA Cup, and two Europa Leagues.

Notably, the Belgian footballer took to his social media and wrote a heartwarming note about his retirement. The great winger wrote that after playing for 16 years and featuring in over 700 games, he decided to end his career as a professional footballer. In addition, his post went viral quickly on social media with a plethora of great wishes and heartwarming messages for him.

“You must listen to yourself and say stop at the right time. After 16 years and more than 700 matches played, I have decided to end my career as a professional footballer. During my career I was lucky to meet great managers, coaches and teammates – thank you to everyone for these great times, I will miss you all,” Eden Hazard wrote on his social media.

Moreover, the attacking midfielder has thanked his coaches, teammates, family, and friends who helped him become one of the all-time greats in football. The great player reveals that he plans to give rest time to his family.
