‘Log ajeeb hai’ – Fans react as Glenn Maxwell’s wife gets hateful comments following India’s loss in ODI WC Final 2023

Glenn Maxwell’s wife Vini Raman has been getting hateful comments from some of the Indian fans, who saw their team lose to Australia in the final of the ODI World Cup 2023. Australia defeated India in the big final by 6 wickets to clinch their sixth title in the history of the ODI World Cup. A collective team effort helped Australia to dominate India in the match.

What followed the victory has not been very encouraging. Many former cricketers from Australia, India, and players from other teams have been getting hateful comments. But what is more disgusting is that the wives and other family members of the cricketers who are not related to the game are getting abused by some of fans, who lack maturity.

Vini Raman’s parents and grandparents were based in India, while she was brought up in Australia. Raman is officially a citizen of Australia. But since she has roots in India, the fans expected her to support India. Raman chose to support Australia during the match, which happens to be the country where she was brought up and take the side of the team in which her husband was playing.

Abuses against Vini Raman

Vini Raman took to Instagram and expressed how she was attacked by some of the fans who could not take the loss of their team. India lost the match and was attacked by their own fans on social media. Some of the immature fans abused Raman and questioned her loyalty. Raman was extremely disappointed with it and gave her opinions on supporting Australia and Maxwell in the match.

“Cue all the hateful vile DMs. Stay classy. Can’t believe this needs to be said BUT you can be Indian and also support the country of your birth where you have been raised and more importantly the team your husband + father of your plays in #nobrainer. Take a chill pill and direct the outrage towards more important world issues,” wrote Raman on her Instagram story, who asked people to concentrate on relevant issues.
