‘Ye Kya ho rha he’ – Fans react as Quetta Gladiators beat Lahore Qalandars in 4th game of PSL 2024

Quetta Gladiators won the 4th game of the Pakistan Super League 2024 against Lahore Qalandars at Gaddafi Stadium in Lahore on February 19. Speaking about the game here, Lahore Qalandars skipper Shaheen Afridi won the toss and invited the Quetta Gladiators to field first in the game during the play. Notably, after being opted to bat first, they had posted 187/7 in the given 20 overs.

Lahore Qalandars had a great start as star opening batter Sahibazada Farhan made 62 runs from 43 balls, featuring six fours and three sixes with a solid strike rate of 145 to make sure his side got a great start in the game. However, star batter Fakhar Zaman departed for just six runs. In addition, star batters Rassie van der Dussen and Abdul Shafique made 15 and 11 runs, respectively, in the game.

Following them, middle-order batter Jahandad Khan went on to hammer an unbeaten 45 runs from 17 balls, featuring three fours and four sixes, while star all-rounder Sikandar Raza made 18 runs from 12 balls, which boosted their middle order in the game. Moreover, Craig Brathwaite and Shaheen Afridi made 6 and 12 runs, respectively, to help their side post 187/7 in the given 20 overs.

However, Quetta Gladiators also had a great start, as star batter Jason Roy made 24 runs from 19 balls, while Saud Shakeel made 40 runs from 23 balls, including six fours and one six, for a solid strike rate of 174. In addition, Rile Rossouw went on to make 18 runs from 13 balls, while Sarfaraz Ahmed made 11 runs from 8 balls.

Meanwhile, Sherfane Rutherford made 14 runs; however, it was star batter Khawaja Nafay who took the onus and made sure that his side chased down the total to win the crucial game of PSL 2024. Notably, the top-order batter made an unbeaten 60 runs from 31 balls, featuring four boundaries and three sixes with a solid strike rate of 194.
