Brydan Carse, a young cricketer from South Africa, made a stunning diving catch during a match of the South African T20 competition SA20 on Tuesday.

The match was between the Paarl Royals and Sunrisers Eastern Cape, and Carse, who was playing for the Eastern Cape, was fielding at mid-on when the incident occurred. In the second over of the Royals’ innings, England white-ball captain Jos Buttler hit a chip shot that could have gone to the boundary, but Carse had other ideas.

With quick reflexes, Carse sprinted towards the ball and dived full stretch, managing to get his hand under the ball and complete a spectacular catch. The crowd erupted in cheers as Carse got back to his feet, holding the ball aloft in triumph.

Royals had made just 127/7 in the first innings as none of the batters could come up with significant contributions to the score. In reply, the Aiden Markram-led side snatched the win in just 18.2 overs on the back of 43 off 39 from Jordan Hermann.

With this win, Eastern Cape move to second on the table with 12 points in 5 matches. The Royals meanwhile remain at 4th with 9 points from 5 matches in SA20.
