‘I don’t care if you’re his daughter or son-in-law’ – Former WWE star reveals how Triple H and Stephanie McMahon tried to remove Vince McMahon from WWE

World Wrestling Entertainment (WWE) is one the most popular sports which has entertained many gains of different generations over the years. WWE was founded by Vince McMahon and he himself was seen many times making his appearance in the ring. However, later, his daughter Stephanie McMahon and son-in-law Triple H took over.

Meanwhile, former WWE star Vince Russo thinks Stephanie and Triple H attempted to remove Vince from the organisation but were unsuccessful. Vince returned to WWE in 2023 and oversaw the sale of the business despite having declared his retirement the previous year. The 77-year-old made sure that after the business merged with UFC, he would still hold an executive position.

“I’m being totally honest here. I feel horrible for them [Stephanie and Triple H]. I really do. But on the other side of the coin, you guys had to know Vince better than anybody knew him. And the way you played this hand was the worst way you could have possibly played this hand when you’re voting for the guy not to come back to his own company. What do you think the payoff is going to be, bro?”

You know what their saving grace was: Vince Russo

Triple H, who is popularly known as ‘The Game” and Stephanie may have waited a long time to take over WWE, according to Russo, just to have Vince McMahon return and confirm their biggest worries that he will never really allow them to do so.

“This was theirs, bro. As a guy that worked for Vince, I don’t care if you’re his daughter. I don’t care if you’re his son-in-law. They’ve had to eat a lot of ‘you know what’ Chris, and they’ve had to put up with a lot of you know what. You know what their saving grace was: ‘It will all be over when he’s gone.’ You know how many nights if must have got them through. Now, bro, he’s never going. He’s never going, bro!”
