‘Aaya or Chaa gya’- Fans can’t stop praising Sarfaraz Ahmed as he scores valiant half-century on his Test comeback

On Monday, ahead of the first Test match against New Zealand, Pakistan’s former captain, Sarfaraz Ahmed replaced M Rizwan in Pakistan’s playing XI. Sarfaraz Ahmed has come back into Pakistan’s Test team after nearly four years.

His last Test match was against South Africa back in January 2019 in Johannesburg. The wicket-keeper batter came to the crease with Pakistan in trouble at 110 for 4 against New Zealand at national Stadium in Karachi on Monday. Four top-order batters had gone back to the pavilion and Pakistan desperately needed to build a partnership in a bid to notch a big total on the board.

Sarfaraz Ahmed joined hands with Babar Azam and the duo led a great fightback. Khan got off the mark with a pleasant-looking boundary and there was no looking back thereafter. He has played with extreme caution and ensured that he put all the bad balls to the boundary ropes.

He notched boundaries on both sides of the wickets while playing the sweeps and drives to great effect. Sarfaraz went on to notch a half-century on his comeback, reaching the feat in 84 balls. He is still playing at the crease and is currently unbeaten on 64 off 111 deliveries, including 9 fours.

The fans have been pretty impressed with Sarfaraz Khan’s comeback in Test Cricket. Here’s a look at some of the reactions on the same:

Babar Azam and Sarfaraz Ahmed have added 150 runs for the fifth wicket and have taken Pakistan to a strong position at 260 for 4 at the end of 3rd session on Day 1. Babar Azam, on the other hand, has notched his 9th Test hundred and is playing a sensational knock at Karachi Stadium.

At the time of writing, Pakistan have lost four wickets for 260 runs on day 1 of the first Test match.
