‘Ab Tera kya hoga Pandya ‘– Fans react to India’s six-wicket win over Afghanistan during 2nd T20I in Indore

Team India kept their proud home record alive with yet another series win on Sunday. Rohit Sharma and his side won the game by six wickets to beat Afghanistan in the second game on Sunday.

It was a fine win as Yashasvi Jaiswal and Shivam Dube struck half-centuries to fashion India’s win. The target was reached in the 16th over with India posting the second successful chase versus Afghanistan.

Earlier it was India who won the toss and chose to bat first. The long-awaited return of Virat Kohli happened as he played his first T20I for India in over 400 days. Afghanistan batted first and scored 172 from their stipulated 20 overs.

Jaiswal and Dube plunder runs to help India win in style –

Rohit Sharma couldn’t get going as Fazalhaq Farooqi bowled the Indian Cricket captain for a duck. Young Yashasvi Jaiswal though was clear with his intent right from the start. The left-handed batter went after the visitor’s bowling unit and plundered runs.

Virat Kohli batted well to score 29 runs before falling to Naveen Ul Haq. Shivam Dube came and continued from where he left off in Mohali. The 30-year-old hit Mohammed Nabi for three successive sixes to help India to 116/2 from 10 overs.

The Afghan bowlers looked short of ideas as they tried everything possible to get a wicket. Karim Janat then dismissed Jaiswal for 68 and then got the wicket of Jitesh Sharma for a duck.

The arrival of Rinku Singh meant that the game saw an early finish with Shivam Dube not out on 63. Earlier in the day Gulbadin Naib scored 57 runs to help his side reach a respectable score of 172.

Apart from the veteran Afghan batter none of the others looked like getting a big score on *the board. Arshdeep Singh led the charge with the ball as he picked up 3 wickets for India. The young seamer was instrumental towards the backend of the innings.

It is expected that India could make some changes for the final game to be held in Bengaluru on Wednesday. This was the first time the two teams were playing each other in a bilateral series.
