Star batter’s Virat Kohli and Steve Smith share a great bond between them and often seem during the play as well. Notably, both of them admire each other completely and share a great friendship with each other on the field as well as off the field. Interestingly, both the batters were not good friends ahead of the year 2019.However, Virat Kohli’s great gesture made them great friends during the 2019 ODI World Cup in England. Former India skipper Virat Kohli was seen urging cricket fans in the stadium to cheer Steve Smith for his fantastic cricketing skills over calling him a cheater for his involvement in the ball-tampering scandal in South Africa, which has cost him his place in the squad for years as well as Test captaincy.

Meanwhile, India’s great cricketer, Dinesh Karthik, has recently shared an interesting story about their great friendship. The RCB batter, who had donned the commentary hat during the WTC Final, reveals that Australia’s star batter, Steve Smith, was batting with Virat Kohli’s bat during the play. The wicketkeeper batter also says that Steve Smith was waiting to get yet another bat from India’s cricketer Virat Kohli to play Ashes 2023.

“I met Steve Smith during the WTC final & saw Virat Kohli written on his bat. Smith told me that he has been playing with Virat Kohli’s bat for some time now. Smith further said that for the Ashes he was waiting for Virat Kohli to send another bat. that is respect & bond both shares between them,” Dinesh Karthik said on Cricbuzz.

Meanwhile, both star cricketers are gearing up for the ODI World Cup 2023, which will commence on October 5 in India. Interestingly, both legendary batters will face each other on October 8 in Chennai to commence their ODI World Cup 2023 journey.
