India vs Australia 2023

‘Andho ko kya dikha rahe ho sir ji’ – Venkatesh Prasad continues his relentless attack on KL Rahul, shares batter’s overseas stats

Former Indian seamer Venkatesh Prasad lashed out at the star India batter KL Rahul after he failed in the second Test of the Border-Gavaskar Trophy against Australia. The former Indian pacer has been constantly criticizing the Lucknow franchise skipper on Twitter.  Earlier, he also questioned the batter’s selection in the playing XI for the second Test.

Rahul has struggled to score runs in the Bangladesh series.  He scored only 10 and 2 runs in the two Test matches and scored only 20 runs in the first Test and 17 and 1 run in the second Test against Australia in the Border-Gavaskar Trophy, but still, he has been backed by the skipper Rohit Sharma and coach Rahul Dravid for the last two Tests.

Rahul made his comeback in the Test squad, but his failure with the bat continues in the longest format. He averages only 13 in the last five matches and has scored only 117 runs. He has not been able to surpass the score of 23 in the last 10 Test innings he has played. In the second match of the Australia series, he scored 17 runs and 1 run in the first and second innings, respectively.

It is very fair criticism even if he scores a half century in the second innings: Venkatesh Prasad

Former Indian opener Aakash Chopra requested the 53-year-old to hold the fiery tweetes till the result of second Test. He stated this before star India all-rounder Ravindra Jadeja registered his best Test figures of 7/42 because of which Australia were bundled out at 113 runs on Day 3 of the 2nd Test on Sunday.

“Venky Bhai, Test match chal raha hai. How about, at least, waiting for both the innings to get over. All of us are in the same team i.e. Team India. Not asking you to hold back your thoughts but timing could be a little better. After all, our game is all about the ‘timing’,” Chopra said in his tweet.

“Honestly doesn’t matter, Aakash. In my view it is very fair criticism even if he scores a half century in the second innings. And between the match or after the match is irrelevant here. Best wishes for your lovely videos on YT, i do enjoy them,” Prasad replied on Chopra’s tweet.
