Antistatic Studios reveals its upcoming horror shooter ‘Hornet’

Antistatic Studios, one of the newer game development studios, has now revealed their upcoming project ‘Hornet’. The studio recently shared a short teaser footage for the game.

This will be their debut title and while there are no plans for PvP, the game will have co-op. The game is set in a post-apocalyptic world with monsters and a procedurally assisted environment.

What is Project Hornet?

The first look at the game gives an SCP vibe mixed with Stalker and Lethal Company gameplay. The teaser shows the player’s perspective through a bodycam.

Players will be tasked with containing various paranormal activities. As per the developers, the game is inspired by online paranormal communities. They have mixed this with their passion for supernatural and war stories.

Project Hornet is termed as a procedurally-assisted open world. Players will find dynamic events, multiple factions, and entities inside the game. Since it is an early footage, a lot of things might change. There are already speculations that the game might be completely different. This came after a render image for the game was revealed that looked much different than the teaser. The game looks very different altogether.

Meet the developers

While the studio is new, it is made up of industry veterans. These developers have previously worked on games like Cyberpunk 2077, Bioshock and Borderlands.

The team includes former Cyberpunk 2077 writer’s room lead Lukasz Ludkowski along with former Bioshock series lead environment artist Kris Teper, Starward Industries co-founder Maciej Miksztal, former Conan Exiles gameplay programmer Michal Koltun and former Project Winter community manager Gabriel Nordholm.

As per reports, the team is also hiring more talented developers. A demo for the game will be made available during the GDC in March.
