Mumbai Indians (MI) captain Rohit Sharma celebrated his 36th birthday with a memorable win against the Rajasthan Royals (RR) at the Wankhede Stadium on Sunday, April 30. After the match, Rohit took some time to interact with fans in the stands and clicked pictures with them. However, he accidentally forgot to return the phone to one of the fans.

The fans quickly alerted Rohit, who turned around and returned the phone with a smile on his face. MI shared a video of the incident on their official Instagram handle, showing Rohit’s humility and kindness towards his fans.

Here’s the funny video featuring Rohit Sharma:

Earlier in the match, RR had set a huge target of 213 runs on the back of Yashasvi Jaiswal’s scintillating century. Rohit had an off day with the bat, scoring just three runs off five balls before being cleaned up by Sandeep Sharma’s knuckleball in the second over. However, MI’s collective effort helped them chase down the mammoth target, becoming the first team to do so in an IPL fixture at the Wankhede Stadium.

Speaking at the post-match presentation, Rohit expressed his pleasure in the team’s ability to chase down such high scores. He also praised Tim Seifert, who was playing his first match for MI, saying that he has all the attributes to become a great player.

MI will now face the Punjab Kings (PBKS) in Mohali on Wednesday, May 3, where they will hope to continue their winning momentum. Despite Rohit’s off day with the bat, his leadership and sportsmanship towards his fans prove that he is not just a great player but also a humble human being.
