To maintain the intrigue, CSK CEO Kasi Viswanathan made the surprising remark. He even mentioned that only Dhoni himself can confirm if this will be his last edition. He even said that these decisions are something that Dhoni will take and he will be updating about it. It has been speculated that the 2024 season of the IPL will be the last time fans will be witnessing Dhoni playing in the yellow jersey.

“That I do not know. See, as far as the captain is concerned, he will answer you directly. He does not tell us what he is going to do,” Viswanathan said as quoted by The Indian Express.

After undergoing knee surgery in early June this year, Dhoni is presently undergoing rehabilitation, and it is anticipated that he will be a match-fit well before IPL 2024. The CSK fans all over the world are hoping that CSK’s skipper will recover soon from the injury. Under the leadership of MS Dhoni, CSK have guided the team to win five IPL titles.

“He is doing well now and he has started his rehab. He started working in the gym. And, probably in another 10 days, he’ll start working in the nets also,” said Viswanathan.
