The Men in Blue are all gearing up for the upcoming Asia Cup, which commences on August 30 in Sri Lanka and Pakistan. Notably, the Rohit Sharma side will be playing all of their matches in Sri Lanka as the Indian Cricket Board refused to travel to Pakistan due to political tension between these two countries.

In addition, with just a few days left for the major tournament, the Rohit Sharma-led side is still struggling to figure out middle-order issues. Moreover, there has been no official announcement on India batters KL Rahul and Shreyas Iyer’s return to the team.

Notably, the LSG skipper sustained a leg injury during the IPL match against Royal Challengers Bangalore, whereas Iyer sustained an injury during the fourth Test match of the Border Gavaskar Trophy earlier this year, owing to which both batters missed the IPL, the World Test Championship Final, the recently concluded West Indies campaign, as well as the upcoming Ireland tour.
