The Australia cricket team has won their first game of the ODI World Cup 2023 by five wickets against Sri Lanka on October 16 at Ekana Cricket Stadium in Lucknow. Notably, this was the first win for their side, as they suffered a massive defeat against India in their opening game, and South Africa thrashed them in the second clash of the ODI World Cup 2023.

Following the win, Pat Cummins and Co. will be facing Team Pakistan on October 20 in Chennai for their fourth clash. Notably, Pat Cummins-led Australia will be looking to win their next clash against Babar Azam and Co., whereas the Men in Green already lost their third game against Team India on October 14 at the iconic Narendra Modi Cricket Stadium in Ahmedabad.

However, a heartwarming incident took place on October 16 during the clash between Australia and Sri Lanka at Ekana Cricket Stadium. Notably, the Australian fans were seen chanting ‘Ganpati Bappa Morya’ during the game. Nothing said much on the back of two losses: Pat Cummins

Meanwhile, Australian skipper Pat Cummins expressed his happiness following his win over Sri Lanka in the ODI World Cup 2023. The right-arm pacer feels that their first two losses should not affect them much as they still have the chance to come back in the ongoing marquee event. In addition, the star seamer accepted that Sri Lanka had a promising start; however, Australia made a great comeback during the game. The 30-year-old cricketer clarified that their side doesn’t pay attention to outside noises.

“Nothing said much on the back of two losses. The energy on the field was great. They started very well. We bowled decently. We stayed at it. The bowlers hit the deck hard. I think high 300 was par on that. There is a lot of people watching this. Outside noise doesn’t bother us a lot. All parts of the game came together today. We would want to keep it up,” Pat Cummins said.
