Rohit Sharma can miss the Test series after getting injured in the second ODI against Bangladesh
Speaking of the squad, Tamim Iqbal has been ruled out of the first Test. He is currently busy recovering from the injury that he sustained just before the ongoing ODI series. However, a top-order batter named Zakir Hasan has earned his maiden call-up. Recently, he impressed everyone after scoring 173 against India A in the second innings of the first unofficial Test. Taskin Ahmed has received a call after becoming fit for this series.
Mushfiqur Rahim will also make a comeback in this series after missing out on the last Test series against West Indies. However, after the second ODI, Rohit Sharma might not play the Test series due to his injury. Regarding that, Rahul Dravid said: “We are struggling with a few injuries as well which is not ideal and not easy for us. I think Deepak (Chahar) and Rohit (Sharma) will certainly miss the next match. Kuldeep is also out of the series. Rohit will fly back to Bombay, consult with an expert to see how it is, and confirm whether he can come back for the Test series or not. It is too early to say anything but he will be out for the next match for sure.”
