Indian cricketer Virat Kohli is playing his 500th international match against West Indies. The 34-year-old has had a great game already, as he registered his 29th Test hundred and 76th hundred in international cricket, the most for a batter after 500 games in international cricket. The knock of Kohli helped India to score 438 runs in their first innings. Ravindra Jadeja and Ravichandran Ashwin batted well too.

Towards the end of the day, West Indies ended up scoring 86 runs after playing 41 overs. It was a good day of Test cricket for West Indies. While India was great on the first day of the Test, West Indies made a comeback on the second day and neutralized the Test. The day was all about Virat Kohli surpassing many greats and creating many records in the process.

When Virat Kohli was batting, a stump mic captured a funny conversation between him and the West Indian wicketkeeper Joshua Da Silva. The emerging talent asked Virat to get to his hundred and claimed himself to be a big fan of the Indian cricketer. The West Indian wicketkeeper also said his mother would like to meet the Indian great.

Following the conversation on Day 1, Da Silva’s mother arrived to meet Virat after the end of the second day. Kohli went up to Da Silva’s mother and met her, along with Da Silva and his father. Joshua’s mother was very happy to meet Virat. She hugged Virat instantly upon seeing him and kissed him. Virat smiled and greeted her with grace.

The two posed for photographs. As Virat went off with the team, Da Silva became emotional. She expressed how big a fan she is of Kohli. “Both me and Joshua are huge fans of Virat Kohli. He is one of the best cricketers ever. We are blessed to have him in this land. It was a blessing for Joshua to play this Test with Virat” said Da Silva’s mother.
