‘Ben stokes ke saath partnership kaun karega ab’ – Fans react as Jack Leach gets ruled out of Ashes 2023
The England and Wales Cricket Board (ECB) announced on Sunday, June 4, that England spinner Jack Leach has been disqualified from the upcoming Ashes Test series versus Australia.
In the recent one-off Test at Lord’s, which England won by a score of 10 wickets over Ireland, the left-arm spinner took part. He was responsible for four dismissals in total because the game was over in three days. But after experiencing low back pain during the one-off Test, Jack Leach, 31, underwent a scan on Sunday, which confirmed a stress fracture.
ECB published a statement regarding the injury to Jack Leach on their official website. The statement read, “A scan on Sunday in London has revealed a stress fracture, which will keep him (Jack Leach) out of the forthcoming Ashes Test series.”
Leach was a member of both the home and away teams for England’s final two Ashes series (2019 and 2021–2022). During the 2019 edition of the Ashes in England, he took 12 wickets at an average of 25.83 across four matches.
Leach, though, played a crucial role in that series by using the bat during the Headingley Test. He and Ben Stokes (135*) shared a tenacious 76-run partnership for the ten wickets as England ripped off one of the greatest robberies in Test cricket. Stokes was able to counterattack boldly in the 359-run pursuit because Leach’s strong defence held the Australian bowling at bay despite the fact that Leach struck 1* from 17 balls.
Even though he was included in the initial team for the first two Tests, Jack Leach became the first England player not to participate in the intense Test series. Following Josh Hazlewood’s exclusion from the World Test Championship Final versus India, which will begin on June 7 at The Oval in London, Leach received his announcement a few hours later. Hazlewood experienced an Achilles problem during the January South Africa series’ Sydney Test. The persistent ailment hindered the Australian speedster’s advancement during the Border Gavaskar Trophy as well as IPL 2023.

I suspect there would not have been much use of him anyway with the kind of pitches england is preparing and kind of game their batters are playing, should consider himself lucky because i think aussie batters will score a lot too.
