‘Beti bhi flop damaad bhi flop’ – Fans troll KL Rahul as Suniel Shetty reacts on his Son-In-Law’s bad performance in IPL

Lucknow Supergiants (LSG) captain KL Rahul was suffering from a bad form in international cricket and continued to suffer in the Indian Premier League (IPL) 2023 as well, failing to make a significant contribution in the first two matches of the league so far. He scored 8 and 20 runs in LSG‘s first and second matches respectively.

Meanwhile, recently during an interview, Sunil talked about Rahul’s bad form and said that teaching how to play cricket to someone like Rahul, who is playing for the country, is not possible at all. Along with this, he also said that when he gives a bad performance, no one talks to him about it in his house.

“We don’t discuss failure or not doing well because we all know that they (his children) are fighters. We show more love. We talk about everything else in the world and try to take your mind off it. I can’t teach KL Rahul how to play cricket. He is playing for the country, is not playing gully cricket, or for somebody to comment and say ‘aise khelo, waise khelo’. If I would have said it would have been for gully (street) cricket.”

His bat will do the talking: Suniel Shetty

Sunil’s daughter Athiya Shetty married Rahul on January 23 this year. Before marriage, both were dating each other for 4 years. Meanwhile, Suniel also mentioned that Rahul is suffering from a tough time and fighting hard to improve and get his form back. He also mentioned that it is not a movie in which you can go out, he has to face the ball and will be continuing to do that.

“I can see a young boy going through tough time but willing to stand up there and realise and work hard. Aur baat kya karega, balla hi baat krega baaki to baat karke fayeda hi nahi hai (What is there to discuss. At the end, his bat will do the talking) This is not film where as a team we can go out. He has to go out there, face that ball and play and he will and he continues to do that,” he added.
