Virat Kohli and Gautam Gambhir were India teammates and state teammates for a few years. The two then had a major falling out during the IPL 2013 season where both nearly came to blows on the field.

Both Gautam Gambhir and Virat Kohli have refrained from talking about the incident or their relationship. The two again went at it this year during Bangalore’s game against Lucknow. The end of the game saw tensions boil over as the two former India teammates were involved in a heated exchange of words.

Since the incident, many fans have resorted to chanting Virat Kohli’s name in front of Gautam Gambhir. The former Indian opener, for his part, hasn’t shown any reaction to the same. The latest video doing the rounds though has re-opened debate about the relationship between the two.

Gautam Gambhir loses his cool at fans –

Former India opener, Gautam Gambhir is part of the commentary team for the Asia Cup 2023 tournament. There is a short 8-second video doing the rounds where the fans in Pallekele can be heard chanting Kohli’s name.

Gautam Gambhir who was walking by was in deep conversation on the phone. That’s when the former India player turned around and showed his middle finger to the fans. The video then ends with Gambhir walking away with someone.

Virat Kohli and Gautam Gambhir were in the news during IPL 2023. The former India skipper had a public spat with Afghanistan pacer Naveen Ul Haq during the game. There was more drama in store at the end of the game.

Kohli and Naveen Ul Haq had a few words when the customary handshake was taking place. This led to Kyle Mayers having a few words with Kohli as Gambhir stepped into the fray. Gambhir who was the mentor for LSG then got into a heated debate with Kohli.

The players from both sides had to separate the two as the spat became massive news. Gambhir and Kohli are yet to speak on the spat, but the former India opener has taken shots at Kohli at various times. The recent came when Gambhir slammed Kohli for his shot selection against Shaheen Shah Afridi when he got out for four.
