The Montreal Tigers defeated the Surrey Jaguars to clinch the 2023 Global T20 Canada title on August 6 at Brampton. Notably, earlier, Montreal Tigers skipper Chris Lynn won the toss and invited the Jaguars to bat first.

Notably, after that, the great middle-order batter Sherfane Rutherford took charge and hammered 38 runs from 29 balls, featuring three boundaries and two sixes, as the great batter Dipendra Singh was retired hurt for 16 runs.
