‘Bhai Test match me bowling kar rahe the kya’ – Fans impressed with Bhuvneshwar Kumar’s economical spell for SRH against DC

Sunrisers Hyderabad star pacer Bhuvneshwar Kumar bowled an exceptional spell against Delhi Capitals in the ongoing 34th game of the IPL 2023. The 33-year-old conceded just 11 runs in his spell of fours overs and also scalped two wickets. SRH restricted DC at the score of 144 runs for the loss of 9 wickets.

Bhuvenshwar struck in the very first over of the match as he sent Phil Salt for a Golden Duck. After that, skipper David Warner and Mitchell Marsh tried to take the innings further by adding 38 runs for the second wicket. Marsh got out in the fifth over after scoring 25 runs 15 balls scoring five boundaries.

After that, DC completely lost momentum after the eighth over bowled by Washington Sundar. First, Warner lost his wicket in the second ball of the over by giving a catch to Harry Brook at the backward square leg. A delivery later, Sarfaraz Khan ended up giving a catch to Bhuvneshwar just like Warner. In the last ball of the over, Aman Hakim Khan tried to take on Sundar but ended up slicing it high and toward the cover region where Abhishek Sharma took a comfortable catch. The score went down to 62 for 5 after eight overs.

SRH’s tight bowling prevented DC to put a big score

After that, Axar Patel and Manish Pandey helped DC to recover from the series of wickets by putting up a partnership of 69 runs for the sixth wicket. Patel got out after scoring run-a-ball 34 runs as Bhuvneshwar cleared the stumps of the left-handed batter. In the very next over, Pandey also lost his wicket in a form of a run out after scoring 34 off 27 with two boundaries. DC went on to lose two more wickets in the last over and was restricted below 150 runs.

For SRH, Sundar scalped 3 wickets by conceding 28 runs in his four overs. While Bhuvneshwar took 2 and T. Natarajan put 1 in his bag. SRH now need 145 runs to register their third win in IPL 2023.
