‘Bilkul IPL mazak thodi hai’ – Fans react as Harry Brook defines IPL as ‘most mentally and physically challenging’

English star batter Harry Brook made his IPL debut earlier in the year after acquiring a huge contract worth Rs 13.25 crore from Sunrisers Hyderabad. However, the English cricketer couldn’t manage to justify the price tag. Notably, the management of the SRH team changed up his batting position a number of times, but it wasn’t really making a great difference as the 24-year-old’s IPL performance was not up to the mark despite trying various tactics in it.

Notably, the young batter was looking into the terrific mode initially and also became the first batter to score a hundred in the IPL 2023. Later, he could not continue that solid and gritty form, and his franchise was the first to be eliminated from the playoff race. In addition, the right-handed batter was only able to rack up 190 runs in 11 innings, for a miserable average of 20. Furthermore, the only thing to his credit was a great century against the Kolkata Knight Riders.

On the same note, the English top-order batter was asked a question by a journalist that Ashes is an exhilarating experience for him, to which the young batter ranked this at number two while ranking his debut edition of IPL 2023 as the first while affirming that IPL is quite tough but the gaps between the matches helped him to continue his form.

“Is the Ashes series the most exhausting experience you’ve had physically and mentally?” the Journalist asked him. “It’s a good question. It’s probably the second. The IPL was pretty tough, to be fair. It has been tough, but we obviously had those 10 days off and a week or so off. I managed to go on holiday,” Brook answered to the Journalist.

Meanwhile, the Sunrisers Hyderabad batter is unquestionably considered among the most promising talents at the moment and will hopefully perform well in the upcoming editions of the IPL.
