Babar Azam scored an undefeated 111 runs against Islamabad United in the current Pakistan Premier League (PSL). With 14 boundaries and two sixes, the knock came in just 63 balls. It was clear from Babar’s post-inning celebration just how significant that century was to him. On winning the toss Islamabad United chose to bowl first, keeping the due factor in mind. Babar and Saim Ayub (38) had an incredible batting partnership of 77 runs. The team’s foundation was laid by their opening partnership as they went on to the opponent and scored 201 runs. Babar’s first fifty came slowly, but his second fifty came in just 20 balls as he played confidently.

Shadab Khan, the captain of the United, took the most wickets with two, followed by Naseem Shah and Salman Agha, who took one wicket each. It was easier for the hitters to bat and score more runs because of the excellent pitch. The United batsmen may be able to chase down the score if they play well without giving away their wickets.
