The two greatest Footballers of the current generation, Cristiano Ronaldo and Lionel Messi, are set to face each other for the first time after several months. The faceoff has almost been confirmed as Inter Miami affirms that they are set to take on Al Nassr in the Riyadh Season Cup in 2024. The fans are totally hyped up for the match, as they get to witness the rivalry for one more time, after a very long time.

The two teams are set to face each other in the 3-team Riyadh Season Cup. It will be the first trip of Inter Miami away from the USA. The North American based franchise is set to tour Hong Long and El Salvador, along with Saudi Arabia. Inter Miami took to social media accounts to announce the same. They confirmed their international tours for the upcoming year.

“Adding a stop to our Preseason International Tour. We will play two matches in Saudi Arabia in the Riyadh Season Cup as part of our first-ever international tour. In a round-robin tournament format, we will take on Saudi powerhouses Al-Hilal SFC and Al Nassr FC on Monday, Jan 29 at 1PM ET and Thursday, Feb 1 at 1PM ET,” wrote Inter Miami on X.

After the announcement, the chief business officer of Inter Miami said, the event would be like none before. “This is another major opportunity to create lasting relationships with passionate fans. We are excited to connect with new supporters in Saudi Arabia, and also hope people all over the world will be tuning in to see a pair of dream matches like these,” said Xavier Asensi.

Cristiano Ronaldo and Lionel Messi had an intense rivalry when they used to play for Real Madrid and FC Barcelona respectively. But with time, their association with both the clubs came to an end. While Ronaldo took the Saudi League route, Messi joined Inter Miami. For their respective sides in the leagues, the star players continue to play an important role. For the first time, they are set to face each other outside the European leagues and international Football.
