Cristiano Ronaldo settles ‘GOAT’ debate with a bold claim
Cristiano Ronaldo, the superstar from Al-Nassr, recently proclaimed himself the greatest football player in history. One of the greatest players to ever play the lovely game is without a doubt, Cristiano Ronaldo. However, the Portuguese international has never been afraid to speak his opinion.
Just before the international break, he also struck against Abha. In ten games for Al-Nassr, the Portuguese sensation has so far tallied nine goals and provided two assists. On April 4, Cristiano Ronaldo will return to the field when his club team squares off against Al-Adalah in an SPL road game.
The 38-year-old is regarded as one of the game’s best competitors. Even though many people think Lionel Messi now holds that throne thanks to Argentina’s victory at the Qatar 2022 FIFA World Cup, Ronaldo’s faith still seems unwavering.
Ronaldo, while speaking to the media, spoke about his stature in world cricket. He spoke to Goal Arab and said, “I am the best player in the history of football.”
What did Van Nistelrooy say about Ronaldo?
Ruud van Nistelrooy was a pillar of the squad when Ronaldo joined Manchester United as a teenager. The Portuguese’s showboating manner of play, however, did not sit well with the former Dutch international. Since he was used to playing with David Beckham, the character traits of the squad were altered when Ronaldo joined. The dynamics between the two competitors could be seen.
Van Nistelrooy spoke about how Ronaldo was unpredictable. He said, “People talk about the Ronaldo situation a lot, don’t they? I was frustrated at the time because I was used to playing with David (Beckham). It was telepathy, we knew exactly what he was going to do. Then Cristiano came and it was different. He was running everywhere he would dribble, he would be unpredictable.”
The Dutch international then spoke about how it was just an argument between the two in training, He said, “It got a bit out of hand with that situation. I think the way we are in a relationship Cristiano and I is fine, now, in general. It’s been really blown up. It was an argument in training.”
