Australian batter Usman Khawaja showed up with his daughter at the press conference after hitting his 15th Test century in the ongoing first Test match of the ongoing Ashes series against England. The 36-year-old has put Australia in a commendable position to get ahead of England’s total in the first innings.

Khawaja already stoled limelight with a cold celebration after reaching the triple figure. While his three-year-old daughter Aisha stole the show when she was present at the press conference with his father. As the cricketer was busy responding to queries from the reporters, his daughter was seen glanced at a phone kept at the table and quickly started scrolling through the camera roll.

“Stop swiping through the camera,” Khawaja told his daughter that erupted a laughter among the reporters. After that the cricketer added, “It’s okay, you can do it later, you can play with Dad’s phone.”

“I honestly don‘t know. I think it was a culmination of three Ashes tours to England and being dropped on two of them. I don‘t read the media, but when I’m getting sprayed in the nets and getting sprayed when I’m walking out there that I can’t bat in England, I guess it was just a bit more emotional than normal,” Khawaja said on his celebration after scoring a ton.

“I feel like I‘m saying this all the time, the same thing happened in India. (It‘s) not that I have a point to prove, but it’s nice to go out and score runs for Australia, just to show everyone the last 10 years haven’t been a fluke,” he further added.

Talking about the ongoing match at the Edgbaston Stadium in Birmingham, England declared their first innings on 393 runs for the loss of 8 wickets. Joe Root shined with 30th Test century as he remained unbeaten on118 runs off 152 balls. While Jonny Bairstow got out after a run-a-ball 78 runs.

In reply, Australia have scored 311 runs losing 5 wickets so far by the end of Day 2. Khawaja is still unbeaten on 126 runs off 279 balls along with Alex Carey who has scored 52 runs off 80 balls so far. Australia are currently trailing by 82 runs from England’s total with 5 wickets in hand.
