India’s star batter KL Rahul’s career takes a surprising turn after he gets the chance to play that he had been seeking in the exhilarating contest against Pakistan during the Asia Cup 2023 Super Fours game on September 11 at R. In addition, despite being named in the Asia Cup squad, the star batter had to miss the group stage match owing to a small niggle that forced him to stay at the NCA. Notably, during the toss, skipper Rohit Sharma revealed that KL Rahul will be playing over Shreyas Iyer as the latter yet again gets a back spasm.
Meanwhile, as the match commenced after being sent to bat first by Pakistan skipper Babar Azam, Team India opener Shubman Gill and Virat Kohli put together a massive opening partnership of 121 runs. Following that, India’s star batter, KL Rahul, hammered a great century and stuck over 200 runs in partnership with former India skipper Virat Kohli.

Notably, the wicketkeeper batsman struck 111 runs from 106 balls, featuring 12 boundaries and two sixes, with a decent strike rate of 105 runs against Pakistan, which enabled Team India to post a massive total of 356 runs against Pakistan. Later, while chasing, Babar Azam and Co. were bundled out for just 128 runs in 32 overs while handling a massive win for the Men in Blue.
Following his great knock, KL Rahul’s father-in-law, Suniel Shetty wrote a heartwarming post for KL Rahul. “A sublime performance – A triumphant return. Gratitude Overflows. Grateful to the almighty for empowering all efforts,” Suniel Shetty wrote on X.
