‘Shameful Franchise’ – Fans react as David Warner gets blocked by SRH on social media

SRH have blocked their former captain David Warner from all social media accounts. Notably, David Warner was the player who carried the batting of SRH and led them to their maiden and the title back in 2021. Since then, nothing seems to have gone well for SRH. To make things worse, they are repeatedly trying to make things worse for themselves. However, their latest act has been one such example.

Meanwhile, in the middle of the IPL 2021, there was a huge controversy between Warner and SRH, as Warner said that some of the team combinations were not known to him. However, following it, SRH dropped David Warner for the rest of the season. Ahead of the IPL 2022, David Warner was released by them. In addition, the star cricketer later joined Delhi Capitals and has been playing there since then in the league.

SRH, on the other hand, has been suffering for it’s existence in the league. Moreover, ever since they betrayed Warner, things seem to go downhill for them. However, in their last 2 seasons, SRH has been in one of the worst performing sides. Despite having good players in their squad, SRH has not been able to qualify even for the playoffs in 2022 and 2023 seasons.

However, but when David Warner was being led SRH, they were one of the best sides in the league. From 2015 to 2021, SRH was a part of the playoffs in every season. However, only two of them saw David Warner not leading them. In 2016, the Australian cricketer helped SRH to win their maiden IPL title. As a batter, David Warner scored 500 or more runs in a season for 6 seasons in a row. Notably, Australia’s left-handed batter was very good as a player for Sunrisers Hyderabad.

Despite all his accomplishments, SRH betrayed him by stooping to lower levels. In addition, if it was not enough, that they’re now trying to erase him from the memory of the franchise. David Warner took to Instagram and tagged Travis Head, saying that SRH blocked him on social media. Meanwhile, Travis Head was picked by SRH in the IPL auction 2024 for a price of INR 6.8 crores.
