Star middle-order batter Nicholas Pooran hammered 82 runs from just 45 balls, featuring six boundaries and six fours to help them post the massive total.

However, in the chase, England had a great start as Phillip Salt hammered an unbeaten 109 runs from 56 balls, featuring four boundaries and nine sixes to help England chase down the total. Meanwhile, Harry Brook was the star of the game as he hammered 31 runs from just seven balls, including one boundary and four sixes to chase down the highest run chase.

“Great to keep the series alive. Hats off to Salt. Last game we talked about staying till the end. Credit to Salt. We tried a lot with the ball. Was a tough place for the spinners. The three-quarter balls were crucial. Salt has got such great intent. Staying in a game bit longer is important. Great effort,” Jos Buttler said in the post-match presentation.
