England sensation Marcus Rashford set to sign new contract with Manchester United

According to reports, Marcus Rashford will extend his contract at Manchester United during the summertime. He will replace David de Gea to become the club’s highest earner thanks to his new five-year deal, which will pay him a staggering £375,000 per week. The Sun said that Manchester United had extended the incredible offer to Rashford since David de Gea is expected to depart Old Trafford this summer. The close of this month marks the expiration of De Gea’s deal with the Red Devils, and no renewal has been struck.

Rashford’s contract was about to expire after the club exercised its one-year extension in December of the previous year. The two sides have been negotiating a contract for long, and sources indicate that an agreement is almost ready to be reached. Many supporters are surprised by the agreement because prior reports as per GOAL claimed the Red Devils intended to impose a £200,000 weekly pay restriction. Rashford’s last contract was worth £200,000 per week.

Erik ten Hag made a statement on the circumstance previously and said, “Let the process go. Once again, this is not important at the moment for me or Rashy. For him, it is to get more goals this season. He is playing a wonderful season and the team is playing a wonderful season. We have to get into the Champions League and focus on that. Marcus wants to stay and we want him to stay, so I think we will find each other.”

Former Premier League player Paul Parker said last month suggested Marcus Rashford shouldn’t start for the team, despite Manchester United’s efforts to lock down their star striker to a new deal. The former United fullback demanded that Erik ten Hag substitute the English attacker because he thought the team did better off the pitch. He made the claim that Rashford wasn’t contributing much on the pitch when speaking to BonusBetCodes.

He said, “It’s time to talk about whether Marcus Rashford deserves to be in the starting lineup. We can no longer avoid that conversation. His goals have dried up and scoring goals is his biggest strength.”
