‘Fake craze hain’- Fans react as Rohit Sharma meets fans in USA before launching cricket academy in California

Published on

India captain Rohit Sharma is set to open his ‘Crickingdom’ cricket academy in the United States of America (USA). Rohit controls one of the world’s largest cricket academies. ‘Crickingdom’ is well-known in India, and the Indian skipper is now seeking to promote it outside the country’s borders.

While the India skipper is in the USA for the launch of cricket academy, the 36-year-old got a great welcome from cricket fans in the USA and the video got viral on social media. The opening batter has also got cricket academies in Singapore and Japan, with this he is launching one more in the USA.

Rohit Sharma rested for T20I series

Rohit was in action against the West Indies for the Tests and the first ODI before being rested owing to workload issue. However, India is presently playing a T20I series against WI, captained by Hardik Pandya. The team lost the first game and will now try to win the second game on August 6.

After this T20I series concludes, India will play Ireland, where star pacer Jasprit Bumrah is expected to make his comeback for India after a year away. The Indian skipper is now on vacation. Hitman will be spotted in 22 yards at the forthcoming Asia Cup 2023.

In an ODI World Cup year, the T20I series is of little relevance, but skipper Hardik Pandya and his deputy Suryakumar Yadav would want to put up a significantly improved batting display, both individually and collectively. The trio constinting of  Ishan Kishan, Shubman Gill, and Sanju Samson, are all eyeing the ODI World Cup.

But anybody would appreciate a couple strong hits to boost their confidence ahead of the Asia Cup. This T20I series against the West Indies provides India with the ideal opportunity to evaluate their shortest format choices, which will be critical next year with the T20 World Cup being staged in the Americas (West Indies and United States).
