The final day has arrived as England and New Zealand have locked horns for the opening game of the ODI World Cup 2023, which is taking place at the iconic Narendra Modi Cricket Stadium in Ahmedabad, India on October 5. However, ahead of the marquee tournament, the Indian Cricket Board has delighted fans and spectators who will be watching the tournament.

Notably, Indian Cricket Board Secretary Jay Shah has announced that they plan to provide free minerals and packaged water for fans all across the nation during the ODI World Cup 2023. In addition, the well-renowned cricket administrator told fans to stay hydrated to enjoy the marquee event.

Jay Shah took to Twitter and wrote: “Exciting times ahead as we anticipate the first ball of @ICC @cricketworldcup 2023! I am proud to announce that we’re providing FREE mineral and packaged drinking water for spectators at stadiums across India. Stay hydrated and enjoy the games! Let’s create unforgettable memories during CWC 2023”.

India will open their ODI World Cup 2023 campaign against Australia on October 8

Meanwhile, Team India is set to open their ODI World Cup 2023 campaign against Australia on October 8 in Chennai. Rohit Sharma and Co. have started their practice session in Chennai with their Orange new kit jersey. Notably, Team India has recently won the three matches of the ODI series against Australia by 2-1, which places them at the top spot of the ODI rankings and is the biggest boost for them.

However, Rohit Sharma-led India also clinched the Asia Cup 2023 after decimating Sri Lanka’s batting line-up on September 17 at R. Premadasa Cricket Stadium in Colombo. They registered a historic win against Babar Azam and Co. as well as defeated Sri Lanka by a narrow margin during the Super Fours of the Asia Cup 2023.

Meanwhile, the much-anticipated clash of India vs. Pakistan is set to take place on October 14 at the iconic Narendra Modi Cricket Stadium in Ahmedabad.
