The Men in Green had a terrific start to the Asia Cup as they defeated Nepal by 238 runs on Wednesday in Multan. Notably, Pakistan skipper Babar Azam produced a magnificent knock of 151 runs from just 131 balls that featured 14 boundaries and four sixes to put up a mammoth total of 342 runs in the given 50 overs. Moreover, later, while chasing, the Nepal team could only rack up 104 runs before bundling out.

- It was the first time in the Asia Cup that the skipper hammered over 150 runs. In addition, former India skipper Virat Kohli is in second position after scoring 136 runs against Bangladesh in 2014.
- The 28-year-old batter crossed the mark of 150 runs for the second time. Notably, Babar Azam hammered 158 runs against England in Birmingham in 2021. The knock against England is still his highest knock in the ODIs.
- Pakistan’s skipper has been enjoying top rank in the ODIs. In addition, after his great knock against Nepal, the star batsman maintains the top position by surpassing other legendary batsmen like Virat Kohli and Rohit Sharma in the 50-over format.
- Babar Azam struck his 31st international century against Nepal on Wednesday, which helped him join the elite list with Pakistani legendary batsmen Javed Miandad, Saeed Anwar, and Younis Khan.
