GTA Trilogy Definitive Edition on PC may get new overhaul update

The original Grand Theft Auto (GTA) Trilogy contained the three most beloved games of all time, while the definitive edition launch of these games was nothing other than a disaster.

As per user videotechuk_ on X, several changes to the GTA Trilogy definitive edition were made recently on SteamDB. This potentially points towards a likely fix to the current issues within the game through a new patch.

Last year, Netflix launched the definitive version of the GTA trilogy for its users on mobile devices. Surprisingly, it was much better than the PC port. The same changes are reportedly being made to the PC version of the GTA Trilogy definitive edition.

The activity feed is reportedly very active for the PC port of the GTA Trilogy’s definitive edition. Fans are excited to see this development and hope they can finally play these iconic games with a modern touch in full glory.

A majority of the update for the definitive edition was to focus on overhauling the graphics to today’s standards. However, all it did was to make the game look like a mobile port but worse. Along with that, there were bugs and glitches in every section.

Cars were falling out of the map, character models were bad, the physics engine was broken, and the weather effects felt like an overlay. People also questioned the developer choice, as Grove Street Games primarily used to develop mobile games.

Several updates were done to fix the issues, however, gamers still can’t accept the game in its current condition as there are still lingering issues.

Worst of all, the original Trilogy was delisted from all digital stores to increase the sales for the definitive edition. This added even more fuel to the fire, as people now can’t even buy the original. So much so that Rockstar game made the original trilogy available again, but only on their official digital store.
