‘Gujarat ko haarana mushkil nahi na mumkin hai’ – Fans react to Gujarat’s second victory in the Indian T20 League
At the Arun Jaitley Stadium in the 7th match of the Indian T20 League 2023, the Delhi franchise’s innings was also been largely a pacer’s haven, yet Rashid Khan arrived towards the end, bowled four straight overs, and got three wickets.
Early on, Mitchell Marsh failed to score a run after Prithvi Shaw was taken out by Mohammed Shami while playing a big pull shot, turning into Shami’s second wicket. While Warner appeared to have calmed things down, Sarfaraz attempted to rebuild the game alongside debutant Abishek Porel after Alzarri Joseph entered and took two wickets.
Porel, however, was struck by Rashid Khan’s first ball of the game. Axar Patel, on the other hand, took centre stage for a short cameo after that, scoring 36 runs in 22 balls on the field where Warner and Sarfaraz had trouble maintaining a strike rate of over 100. Anrich Nortje’s final ball four and late big knocks from Axar and Porel helped Delhi surpass the 160-run threshold.
The home team managed to gain some momentum towards the finish and scored 162/8 in their 20 overs, despite Alzarri Joseph and Mohammed Shami not allowing Delhi’s big guns to get their innings going at the outset.
Gujarat’s prospective strong start in their pursuit of 163 was halted when Anrich Nortje charged in. The fiery pacer sent back the in-form opening pair of Wriddhiman Saha and Shubman Gill, and Hardik Pandya later succumbed to Khaleel Ahmed.
Gujarat’s ruthless chasing is continuing as they were able to chase the total once again. In contrast to the previous match, the Gujarat franchise was facing trouble at the halfway mark, but Sai Sudharsan saved them by first bringing stability to the situation with Vijay Shankar, and then accelerating it with David Miller. With Shankar, he put up 53 runs off 44 deliveries for the fourth wicket, followed by an unbroken 56-run partnership off 29 balls along with Miller.

Sai sudharshan has been wonderful for Gt but I’m not full convinced tbh I want to see how he plays when the team chases 195-220 because the way he played today suited the team and had the correct approach

Fluke and Lucky team. Won by margin against CSK and now won by margin against DC. Winning only by chasing.

Delhi need to make changes fast can't rely on that middle order, rossow not firing arguibly weakest bowling lineup in the tournament might as well take rossuw out and play a foreign pacer with how easy their bowling is.
