‘Har jagah bahas karna zaroori nahin hai’ – Fans react as Ravichandran Ashwin suggests showing Rajinikanth movies at Chepauk Stadium during IPL 2024

India off-spinner Ravichandran Ashwin has suggested that Rajinikanth movies must be played at Chepauk for MS Dhoni during IPL 2023. The latter last played in the IPL 2023 with his side, Chennai Super Kings winning their fifth title. Since then, he has been out of the game as the wicketkeeper batter retired from international cricket in 2020. Recently, the former India skipper managed to grow back the same hairstyle he used to have till the T20 World Cup 2007.

After the 16th season of the cash-rich league, Dhoni denied him taking the retirement. He said that he would like to assess his situation (knee situation to be precise) in the next few months before taking the call.

“Looking for an answer? (He asks Harsha Bhogle after the latter asks him about his legacy) This is the best time to announce my retirement. But the amount of love I have received all over. The easy thing would be to walk away from here, but the harder thing would be working hard for 9 months and try to play another IPL. It would be a gift from me, won’t be easy on the body. You do get emotional, the first game at CSK everyone was chanting my name. My eyes were full of water, I needed to take some time off in the dugout. I realised I need to enjoy this,” MS Dhoni said.

While Dhoni is yet to take a call, Ashwin has suggested that Indian film star, Rajinikanth (from Tamil Nadu) movies must be shown to the fans for Dhoni.

Ravichandran Ashwin was selected for the ODI World Cup 2023

Meanwhile, the right-arm off-spinner has recently made his comeback in ODI cricket. After playing two ODIs last month, he has been selected for the World Cup, keeping the spin strength and his batting in mind.
