The Men in Blue are all set to lock horns with the Babar Azam side on September 2 in Kandy, Sri Lanka, to commence their journey for the Asia Cup 2023. Following this match, Rohit Sharma’s side will face Nepal on September 4 to make their way into the super four rounds. Notably, Team India is considered one of the most successful sides in the Asia Cup after winning the trophy seven times. Meanwhile, India’s stalwart Virat Kohli has opened up about his tactics for the game ahead of a much-anticipated clash.

Former India skipper Virat Kohli says he always tries to perform better each day, and this tactic has helped him play well for so many years with consistency. Moreover, the RCB opener has also talked about the importance of mindset while playing the game.

“I only try to understand how I can better my game. Every day, every practice session, every year, every season. This is what has helped me play this well for so long and to perform for my team. I don’t think you can perform consistently without that mindset, because if your performance is your only goal, then you can be satisfied and stop working hard,” Virat Kohli said on Star Sports.

In addition, the 34-year-old cricketer always looks to win matches for his side, regardless of the situation. Moreover, the stylish right-handed batter believes that if one aims to perform well with a great mindset, the performance will be consistent.

“I think I strive for betterment every day, so that is a better word to use and yes, performance obviously becomes a bi-product because your mindset is ‘How do I make my team win from this position? This will make me a better player or this will get my team in a better position if I perform this way’. So this has always been my mindset,” he added further.
