‘Hey Cristiano I can’t see you’- South Korea fans troll Cristiano Ronaldo after ‘no show’ in FIFA World Cup 2022 match: Watch
South Korea have added another to the World Cup of disappointments for big teams after they defeated Portugal in Group H. The Asian team needed a win against the European giant and also needed Ghana vs Uruguay match to go their way.
Fortunately and with a good amount of effort, South Korea managed to get into the Round of 16 with a win against Portugal. The fans of the Asian team have been ecstatic ever since given the magnitude of their win.
Ahead of the clash, Cristiano Ronaldo, the Portugal player and the most followed sportsperson in the world was expected to be the biggest threat to South Korea. The reality however was entirely different as Ronaldo remained ineffective throughout the game and could not pull the result in his team’s favour.
Following South Korea’s win over Portugal, fans could be seen trolling Ronaldo inside and outside of the Education City Stadium in Qatar. A video that is going increasingly viral shows a South Korean fan could be seen making a binoculars gesture and saying, “Hey Cristiano Ronaldo I can’t see you. Where are you? I don’t see you bro, I don’t see you.”
He then goes on to lend support to Ronaldo’s arch-rival Lionel Messi saying, “Let’s go Messi. Messi!”. Towards the end of the video another South Korean fan chimes in with his own “Messi”.
In another video, South Korean fans were seen chanting, “Where’s Ronaldo, where’s Ronaldo!”.

Earlier Saudi Arabia fans had done something similar after Argentina’s defeat by the middle east country. Fans outside the stadium were chanting, “Where is Messi, I can’t see Messi” after Saudi Arabia got a 2-1 win over favourites Argentina.
Both Portugal and Argentina have qualified for the Round of 16 and will play against Switzerland and Australia respectively. South Korea meanwhile have been paired up with Brazil.
