Huge names set to perform before India vs Pakistan ODI World Cup 2023 game
Ahmedabad’s Narendra Modi Stadium is set to witness the biggest clash of the ODI World Cup 2023. Match 12 of the tournament is between arch-rivals India and Pakistan. The two sides have met each other seven times before in the history of ODI World Cups.
This is the first time in 12 years that India and Pakistan will play a World Cup game in India. The last time the two sides met was in Mohali during the 2011 World Cup Semi-Finals which was won by India.
Rohit Sharma and Babar Azam have seen their teams play two games and won each of them. The Indian team had started the tournament with a six-wicket win over Australia followed by an eight-wicket win over Afghanistan. Pakistan have beaten Sri Lanka and the Netherlands in their first two games of the ODI World Cup 2023.

Noted Indian singers like Sukhwinder Singh and Shankar Mahadevan will regale the crowd with their vocals. Arijit Singh the Bollywood sensation is also set to be part of the event. The entire celebration starts at 12:30 PM IST an hour before the toss can take place.
Pakistan is set to field the same XI that beat Sri Lanka on Tuesday in Hyderabad. Abdullah Shafique and Mohammad Rizwan scored centuries to help Pakistan chase down the massive 345-run score.
Rohit Sharma scored the fastest century in World Cup history during the game against Afghanistan. The Indian skipper scored his century from just 63 balls as he went to score 131 runs. This was his 1st century of ODI World Cup 2023 campaign and seventh overall the most by any batter.
There is a huge mystery about the likely Indian XI for the game on Saturday. According to skipper Rohit Sharma, there is a 99% chance that Shubman Gill could play the game. The final call though is set to be taken on Saturday morning ahead of the game. Ishan Kishan has opened in the absence of Gill and scored 47 runs from the two games so far.
The pitch is likely to be a batting beauty with the captain winning the toss likely to chase. The earlier game of the ODI World Cup 2023 saw England score 282 from their 50 overs. Devon Conway and Rachin Ravindra’s centuries helped the Kiwis win by 9 wickets with 14 overs left to play.
