I have been working with Rahul sir since my U-19 World Cup day: Tilak Varma

“I have been working with Rahul sir since my U-19 World Cup day. He always tells us to follow the basics and spend more time on the wicket. Hardik bhai was also telling me the same. He told me that you have done well in the domestic and the IPL, follow your basics and enjoy your game,” Tilak Varma said during the press conference, being quoted by Hindustan Times.

Team India lost the second T20I and went down 0-2 against West Indies. In addition, the Men in Blue posted 152 runs after opting to bat first in the given 20 overs. Later, while chasing, they couldn’t defend the target and lost the match against the Powell-led side. Meanwhile, speaking on the same subject, the Hyderabad-born batter admitted that they were 10 runs short during the match.

“Wicket was bit on the slower side and it was double paced as well. We thought anything between 150-160 will be a good score. I guess at the end we were 10 runs short,” Tilak Varma added further.
