Spanish tennis star Rafael Nadal, who has been ranked World Number 1 in men’s singles and won 22 Grand Slams, which included 14 French Open titles, has recently heaped praise on Novak Djokovic, who has recently surpassed his mark as the great player by achieving 24 Grand Slam titles after recently winning the US Open 2023.

Following the win at the US Open 2023, the Sebarian Tennis star is currently ranked as World Number 1. Notably, Nadal has accepted that Djokovic has some of the best wins, including stats and numbers, compared to him. The 37-year-old great further emphasised that, with respect to the titles, Djokovic is the best in history, and there is no question over the same.

“I believe that numbers are numbers and statistics are statistics. In that sense, I think he (Djokovic) has better numbers than mine and that is indisputable. This is the truth. The rest are tastes, inspiration, sensations that one or the other may transmit to you, that you may like one or the other more. I think that with respect to titles, Djokovic is the best in history and there is nothing to discuss about that,” Rafael Nadal said.

I am very satisfied with everything that I have done: Rafael Nadal

Meanwhile, Nadal is very happy and satisfied with what he has achieved in his life, and he remains the same as when he was ahead, tied, and behind Djokovic in terms of titles. The 37-year-old feels everyone has their own stories as well as their own personal struggles.

“I said it when I was the one with the most Slams, I said it when we were tied and I say it now that I am behind. I am not going to be the one who tries, through a personal struggle, to want to be what I am not. What is, is, and what is not, is not. I say this, I am very satisfied with everything that I have done,” he added further.
