Tom Moody has been omitted from the list of candidates to coach the Pakistan team. According to the details, ILT20 Franchise Desert Vipers’ Director Tom Moody stated in a special interview with Cricket Pakistan in Dubai that the PCB has not contacted him for the coaching position.

“No, I didn’t have any contact with the PCB regarding that, and you know, with what I have in front of me, it probably is something that I will be looking at,” said Tom Moody.

Tom Moody responded to a question about Pakistani players’ inability to play in the ongoing ILt20 league, saying, “It is a pity that Pakistan cricketers are not participating in ILT20; they add to the quality of any league; unfortunately, NOCs cannot be obtained for them. The situation will change.”

Tom Moody responded to a question about the team’s strongest player, including the coaching services of former Pakistan All-rounder Azhar Mehmood, by saying, “They include Colin Munro, Vanandu Hasaranga, Alex Hales, and Tom Curran, all capable of contributing to the team’s victories.”

“Azhar Mahmood is in the franchise’s coaching staff; I have worked with him before. The former all-rounder also understands the conditions here better and can do a lot to improve the team’s bowling,” he continued.

Tom Moody on player development

According to Tom Moody, the ILT20 features star cricketers from around the world, with each franchise team featuring nine international players. Local players will have the opportunity to improve their skills while playing high-quality franchise cricket under the guidance of great coaches; both those in the playing eleven and those on the bench will learn something.

The 57-year-old also stated that while Indian T20 League matches have previously been hosted in the United Arab Emirates, this time it is their own league, which will undoubtedly benefit talent development more. ILT20 can be beneficial to player development.
