The five-match Test series between India and England will start later this week, i.e. on January 25 in Hyderabad. The series will be part of the ongoing World Test Championship 2023-25 cycle. Both teams will be playing a five-match Test in India for the first time after 2016. In the previous series between both teams in the Asian country, in 2021, they played a four-match series.

The two-time WTC finalists are yet to lose a Test series against the Three Lions since the 2018 series. 2. Rahul Dravid

The former India skipper and current head coach made his debut against England in 1996 and played one of his last games against the same side in 2011. During this, he played 21 games and has seven hundreds with 1950 runs averaging 60.93 including eight fifties. He will be in the background while his players battle against their familiar foes.

Sachin Tendulkar

3. Sachin Tendulkar

The 2011 World Cup winner played his first series outside Asia against England in 1990. Till 2011, the right-hander played 32 games and has seven hundreds with 2535 runs averaging 51.73 including 13 fifties as well. In 2013, he retired from all forms of the game right on the day when he completed 24 years in international cricket.

The former England skipper and opening batter made his Test debut (2006) and played his last against India (2018). During this, the left-hander played 30 Tests and scored 2431 averaging 47.66 including seven hundreds.

5. Mohammad Azharuddin

The former India captain played 15 Tests between 1984 and 1996. During this, the right-hander scored 1278 runs averaging 57.18 including six hundreds.
