Indian Prime minister Narendra Modi gives his opinion on hosting Olympics in 2036

The international Olympic Committee’s 141st session took place in Mumbai. Many dignitaries were in the event, including the president of international Olympics committee, Thomas Bach, and the members of the body. Other Indian sports representatives were also present in the event. Some famous personalities and celebrities were also in the event.

The likes of Ranveer Singh, Alia Bhatt, Neeraj Chopra, Nikhat Zareen, and others were in the event. India hosted the session for the first time in 40 years. New Delhi had hosted the event in 1983. Mumbai became only the second Indian city to host the event. many things were discussed in the event, including India’s bid for hosting Olympics in 2036.

Talking about the same, the Indian PM Narendra Modi gave his opinions. “India is eager to organize Olympics in the country. India will leave no stone unturned in the preparation for the successful organization of the Olympics in 2036, this is the dream of the 140 crore Indians…” said the Indian prime minister in his speech.

‘I am sure India will get constant support from IOC’ – Narendra Modi

Modi said that India is eager to host Olympics. The Indian PM represented the Indian people and opined with the fact that crores of people want India to host the biggest sport event. Modi further said that India is willing to host the Youth Olympics in 2029. “We are willing to host 2029 Youth Olympics, I am sure India will get constant support from IOC,” added Modi.

Modi hoped of getting support from IOC. The Indian PM spoke about sports as a medium, which is universal. Modi said that there are only winners in sports. “The spirit of sports is universal. There are no losers — there are only winners and learners in sports. Sports empower humanity. Whoever breaks records, everyone welcomes it,” said Modi.

While speaking in the event, the Indian PM congratulated the Indian cricket team on beating Pakistan in the ODI World Cup 2023. India defeated Pakistan by 7 wickets in the ODI World Cup 2023 and extended their winning streak to 8 wins on a row in the biggest cricket tournament.
