IPL 2023: Predicting 3 Most Run Scorers in Today’s RCB vs CSK Match
In the ongoing IPL, Royal Challengers Bangalore (RCB) and Chennai Super Kings (CSK) will lock horns on April 17, 2023. It will be the tournament’s 24th game to be played in Bengaluru’s M Chinnaswamy Stadium. In their opening four games, both franchises have earned two victories.
There will thus be an exciting batter for both sides and their respective squads. High-scoring matches are common at Chinnaswamy Pitch. Therefore, batters from both sides will aim for large totals. RCB and CSK have faced off against one another nine times at this venue. In those games, each side won four times, while one game ended without a result.
Let’s look at the three batters who can score in the RCB vs CSK clash in IPL 2023:
3. Faf Du Plessis:
The RCB skipper has had a successful start to this season with the bat so far. Faf du Plessis has scored 197 runs in four games at an average of 65.67. Additionally, he has already scored two fifties. But both of those fifties came in Chinnaswamy. Du Plessis has so far come across as quite at ease while playing bowlers at home.
He only scored 22 runs in the most recent home game versus Delhi Capitals. The former South African cricketer will thus try to succeed in Bengaluru against CSK. In their season opener against Mumbai Indians (MI), he scored 73 runs off 43 deliveries while scoring 79* runs off 46 balls against Lucknow Super Giants. Therefore, the RCB captain is anticipated to deliver another strong inning in front of the home crowd.
2. Ruturaj Gaikwad:
Grabbing the Orange Cap in the IPL 2021 and scoring 635 runs at an average of 45.35 in 16 games, this young batter, Ruturaj Gaikwad displayed his talent. He smashed one century and four fifties. He performed poorly in the IPL in 2022. Gaikwad, on the other hand, has had a strong start to the ongoing season.
The Maharashtra-born player has scored 197 runs, at an average of 65.67, through his first four games. He was unsuccessful against the Rajasthan Royals in the last game, as Gaikwad was out after scoring just eight runs. Still, the flat deck and small boundaries of Chinnaswamy might suit him. So, he might be very important in the match against the RCB.
1. Virat Kohli:
The 2022 IPL season was not good for the former RCB skipper. Virat Kohli scored 341 runs at an average of 22.73 in 16 games. However, he has had a strong start to the ongoing season. Kohli has so far scored 214 runs in four games, including three fifty-run innings. His batting average is 71.33, while his strike rate is 147.59.
At the Chinnaswamy Stadium’s most recent match against the Delhi Capitals (DC), Kohli hit 50 runs off 34 balls, including six fours and one six. He also took home the trophy for Player of the Match. Fans will thus be hoping for another fantastic inning from him at Chinnaswamy against MS Dhoni led-team, considering his current form.
