IPL 2024 is just a month and a few days away from starting. The players are excited to perform in the tournament, which will be crucial for their confidence. It will also act as a good opportunity for the player to be in the reckoning ahead of the important T20 World Cup 2024. The teams will need their players to be at their best given the fact that the IPL involves the best players in the world.

10. Gujarat Titans – Sai Sudarshan

Sai Sudarshan was terrific in the final of the IPL 2023 and showed glimpses of what he could do in the long run. In the months following it, the Southpaw has been terrific with the bat in domestic cricket and for India A as well. In the series against South Africa, Sai showed composure and batted well. GT would be hoping to see the best version of the youngster in the IPL 2024.

Nicholas Pooran was brilliant in the IPL 2023. He won many matches for his side in the league and most of them were from near impossible situations. The WK batter will be looking forward to the season as a batter. LSG would want him to be at his best in the middle order. The West Indian has been in good form in the last year or so, which would make him a dangerous batter in the league.
8. Sunrisers Hyderabad – Heinrich Klaasen

Heinrich Klaasen has been in serious form with the bat in the last two years. In all the leagues he played, the star batter has shined. He has been aggressive and consistent at the same time. For SRH, Klaasen was brilliant in 2023 and batted well despite not getting support from the other end. He is one of the best finishers in the world at the moment. SRH need his form for their success in the league.
7. Punjab Kings – Arshdeep Singh

Arshdeep Singh has not been in great form in the last ten months. The left-arm pacer has been poor at the death and has failed to get as many wickets as he used to in his prime. But given the fact that the T20 WC 2024 is just a few weeks after the conclusion of the IPL 2024, Singh would be looking forward to returning to form so that he could be in reckoning in the selection of the big squad of India.

Kuldeep Yadav has been in a serious form across formats in the last two years. The chinaman spinner has been economical and wicket-taking as well. Given the unpredictability of the bowler, batters find it difficult to face him. In the T20 WC 2024, Kuldeep will be one of the key spinners for India. But to secure his spot in the XI, Kuldeep needs to have a brilliant outing in the IPL 2024.
5. Kolkata Knight Riders – Rinku Singh

Rinku Singh has been in some form in the last couple of years. From domestic cricket, Rinku has transitioned himself to a crazy finisher in the IPL. He has been able to perform so well in international cricket as well. For KKR to have any chance of winning the league, Rinku must have a similar season to the one he had in 2023, if not better. He is one of the best finishers in the world currently.
4. Rajasthan Royals – Yashasvi Jaiswal

Yashasvi Jaiswal has been fearless as a batter in the last couple of years. Much like Rinku, he has performed well in domestic cricket and continued the same in the IPL for RR. He scored over 600 runs at an SR of over 160, which was sensational. RR wants him to be in a similar form in the 2024 IPL as well. Yashasvi has established himself as an opener in Tests and T20Is, the latter being the most important format of the year.
3. Chennai Super Kings – Daryl Mitchell

Daryl Mitchell has been scoring runs for fun in the format in the last few months. The Kiwi batter is aggressive by nature and can score runs on slow wickets. In Chennai, the wickets would be sluggish, and the batters do not find it easy to score runs, especially in the middle overs. But the middle-order batter is someone who can score runs for fun in the middle overs.

Jasprit Bumrah has been taking wickets for fun in the last six months. After returning to cricket in August, Bumrah has been economical and wicket-taking as well. The star pacer was brilliant in the ODI WC 2023 and the Asia Cup 2023 as well. With his ability to outclass the batters, Bumrah will be one of the players to watch out for in the entire tournament. MI will rely on him for the death bowling.

Virat Kohli is one of the best batters in the world at the moment. After struggling to score runs in 2020, 2021, and 2022, the star batter returned to blasting in 2023, where he scored over 600 runs in Tests and IPL. He scored 765 runs in the ODI WC 2023 and ended up scoring 1377 runs in 27 innings. He is likely to be in good form ahead of the IPL 2024 and would be hoping to be in good form ahead of the T20 WC 2024.
