According to the reports, the highly anticipated Men’s T20 World Cup 2024 is scheduled to take place from June 4 to June 30 next year. In addition, it is all set to play in the West Indies and the United States of America. Notably, the tournament will be marking its ninth edition. According to the source, there will be ten venues where the contest will be played. On top of that, it will be the first time the USA will host an international tournament.

The tournament is all set to include 20 teams from around the world for the first time. Notably, the eight most successful nations from the previous editions that are directly qualified are Australia, England, India, the Netherlands, New Zealand, Pakistan, South Africa, and Sri Lanka, while the West Indies and the USA advanced as hosts this time.

On top of that, Ireland and Scotland qualified for the T20 World Cup earlier this week by winning the top two places in the regional European qualifying round. In addition, Papua New Guinea gained a World Cup berth by winning the East Asia-Pacific Qualifier.

Additionally, there will be an all-new format for the T20 World Cup in 2024 as compared to the previous editions. For the first round, 20 teams are going to be split into four separate groups with five teams each. The top two teams in each group will qualify for the Super 8 rounds.

Following this, the teams playing in the Super 8s will be split into two groups of four teams each, and the two teams with the most wins from each group will move on to the semi-finals, and the winners of the semi-finals will take on the final match.

Meanwhile, the Apex Board, or Indian Cricket Board, hasn’t revealed any information about the forthcoming T20 World Cup.
