‘I’m hungry to get back on the pitch……’ – English footballer Ivan Toney opens up on return to football after 8 month ban

English footballer Ivan Toney has expressed hunger to return and perform for his side. Notably, the star player has said in an interview that he is hungry and excited to be back in the middle again. The 27-year-old affirmed that being out of action for a long time is never good. However, Ivan Toney addressed his injury and felt that it was not good to remain out of action for a long time.

Moreover, the Northampton-born player says that he could not wait to return to the pitch to do what he usually does. “I am hungry. Hungry and excited. Being out for so long, especially when you don’t have an injury, is hard. I’m hungry to get back on the pitch and do what I enjoy doing,” Ivan Toney said about his return to action.

The great player added that he has an unfinished business to complete, which he would like to perform when he returns. “It’s always unfinished business when you haven’t been playing for a while,” he added in his statement. Meanwhile, the legendary player felt that everything was in the hands of a player and said that injuries were part and parcel of the game.

Moreover, Ivan Toney cannot wait to return to the pitch and perform what people expect from him. Icon addressed the expectations of the people in the interview. “It’s in your head. It’s like, I can’t wait to get back and do what everybody’s not expecting me to. I know that there are a lot of people thinking, ‘Can he do this, or can he do that?’, or ‘How’s he going to be when he gets back?” he added further.

Meanwhile, the star player acknowledged the fact that people have doubts about his form. Ivan Toney concluded by saying that he is capable of making a comeback that can be remembered for a long time. He hoped to give his best after returning to the side. “I know what I’m capable of, so I guess when I get onto the pitch, I’ll just do what I do best,” he concluded.
